Endangered Steiff Animals

What does it mean when it says 'Endangered' on an animals page?
When any animal has been given the insignia 'Endangered', this means that Steiff has discontinued making this particular animal. As a result, only the items that are currently in our inventory are what we have available. Becauses Animals Animals is no longer able to obtain any more of this animal from Steiff, quantities are very limited.

What does it mean when an animal's page says it is 'Extinct'?
When an animals status changes from 'Endangered' to 'Extinct', this means that we have sold out of all our inventory of this animal, as has Steiff. This animal is now considered retired.
